fawn and bats

2 weeks ago, Dana and Andy spotted this fawn (well, actually it already had spots :) )

up on the hill behind the ranch house.

I had heard about the 1.5 million mexican free tailed bats that inhabit the Congress St. bridge in Austin, but seeing is believing! Many folks, including batman himself, came out on a baking hot summer evening to view the bats.It took a full 30 minutes for the column of bats to come out of the crevices in the bridge!! Will post more pics soon
