Today was another hot humid day - I was watching the butterflies and decided I liked the sunlight on this sunflower.The electric company was doing some tree trimming, preparing for the hurricane season by keeping the vines off the lines. They stirred up some wrens that I didn't know were nesting in my yard!
There were several different individuals, but I think the nest is hidden in a poison ivy clump. I won't tear it down now until I know they are done.
Maybe the most striking feature is how tiny they are compared to the electric wire! What a beautiful song. Meanwhile, mama Cardinal tends her eggs.... stay tuned.
